J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World is making a comeback with the upcoming ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ movie, which Warner Brothers announced has started principal photography. Filming started today (August 17) at Warner Bros. Studios.
David Yates, who directed four of the Harry Potter movies, will be helming the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movie, and filming will take place in England.
Warner Brothers also announced that Samantha Morton will be playing a character named Mary Lou in the films.
As far as casting goes, we already know that Eddie Redmayne will play Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston will play Tina, Alison Sudol will take on the role of Queenie, Dan Fogler will play Jacob, Jenn Murray will play Chastity, and Ezra Miller will portray a character named Credence.
‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘ hits theatres November 18, 2016 in 3D and IMAX.
We’re so excited to be delving back into the Wizarding World. Sure, things will be different, but they will be just as magical, and Rowling penned the movie (her screenwriting debut!), so we know it’ll be amazing. Can’t wait to see Eddie Redmayne step into the role of Eddie Redmayne!
